Good remix!

I know my inception songs when i hear them, and this one is one of my favorites from Hans Zimmer. I am assuming you're using FL Studio so i recommend linking your drum and other instruments to you mixer and adding plugins such as Fruity Reverb, and other sound enhancing plugins to them. Keep making music man.

This is a good techno song...

But it's not a dub-step. You still are having trouble with your transitions, but a way to fix it could be to add a bass drop in between two melodies, but make sure the second melody is more intense than the first. You should add a constant drum loop that flows with the song and most importantly you need your wobble bass because it is the driving factor in a dub-step.
If you were not trying for a dub-step you may want to change the genre. I think this was pretty good anyways.
Have a great day!

Thanks for the suggestions!
I changed the genre so it was more of a fit.
Thank you!

Sounding good

Did a good job with the synths and the drums. Very nice upbeat composition my friend and pretty well done. Keep making music man.

square-spirit responds:

thanks for the support!
I think the pad that plays the melody is my favorite pad so far,
i find myself looking back to copy some of these instruments lol

Great song you got here

Did a great job with the bass! I loved how it began, and was amazed at what it turned into. Unfortunately i don't know the name of the melody either but it definitely fit. Again, Great composition you have here and have a great day man!

RobinDB responds:

Hey thanks! I'm glad you liked it even though I had to limp through it just to finish. I wish someone knew where this melody is from... haha. Thanks again. :D

You have made a masterpeice

After I spent much time to compose something beautiful like this. Then I lent my ear to hear this and saw that I still had far to go. The melody was amazing and the violin gave me shivers. You sir have composed something truly magnificent! I hope you continue to make more. Have a good day

Well, You got something here...

There's a big problem my friend: Unfortunately the song doesn't blend well. The changes are really sudden and sound awkward. There were some beats and melodies that i took a liking to (like at 0:26) so i suggest you continue to work on this. A recommendation is to work on your transitions between melodies and beats. Hopefully you can smooth the song into sounding better because at the moment it sounds like a cacophony of random melodies mixed together. Keep working on this stuff, you'll get it.

Normally i can't stand techno...

But for some reason i can connect to it. Some of the instruments you used i can recognize, that must be it. I can say that you did a great job using FLS to make this beautiful composition. Keep making music man.

spot1techno responds:

Hah yeah It's definitely a hybrid/variation of regular techno. Seems to have some extra vibe that draws listeners in. But I do plan on releasing newer tunes so be on the look out! + Thanks : ]

Hmm, May i give a suggestion?

This reminds me of the stuff i was doing a year and a half ago. basically the same rhythm over and over again with changes only in patterns overlapped upon other patterns. i suggest staying away from using just one pattern and attempt to jazz your melodies up, as a start. Repetitive songs WILL bore most of your audience. You can also add transitions between each new instrument to help boost appeal and tell the listener that there's something coming. This did have an interesting melody to it. I hope you continue to work on your skills when using FLS. Tutorials and listening to lots of different music helped me. Have a good day man!

NightmareDuck responds:

Okay, I like what you've told me, but I was thinking this could be more of a credits song, rather than a real song. I dunno. I just never meant for this to be a REAL song. But thank you for the suggestions. You have a good day, too. :)

I don't know...

It's cool that it was fun to make however there are many flaws or problems that can be associated with the song. For one your beat wasn't constant which screwed your tempo. The saxophone sounded rather awkward when it came in and many of the sounds were misplaced in an unnatural way. The ending was rather sudden and was disorganized, and had a random drum as well as a misplaced ride symbol. Unfortunately I don't know what type of studio your running so i can't help you with any issues with that. Again it's nice to know you had fun with this, however please attempt to make a song have good quality before putting it in this lovely audio portal for the world to see. Have a good day.

Pretty good...

for just the demo. Compared to what i did when i had the demo this sounds like it was crafted by god himself. I had the demo for a week before upgrading and then a year and a half before putting stuff out. Good stuff man!

SpitNeck responds:

Its also the very first song I ever made using Fl so I do suppose I did well when making it. Thanks a bunch for the review and kind words !!

I'm a young man who's had an interest in music since I was a toddler. I worked on my skills through practice with school and self studies with percussive instruments. I picked up FLS only 2 years ago and am still learning the ropes. For now, it's a hobby.
